FTG technology and its role in the search for hidden plays in Indonesia

FTG measures the rate of change of the gravity field in all directions of the field as presented by sub-surface geological density contrasts.

The many measurements are organized into three primary elements that make the technology ideally suited for direct detection of geological structure such as rounded basins, sinks, carbonate build-ups, fault blocks and their complex shape and structural settings. FTG is being used extensively at all stages of the exploration workflow from early stage frontier mapping to building key prospectivity models.

The presentation will briefly introduce the technology and how the many measurements are used to detect and map key geology. Examples from recent survey work in SE Asia will be shown as working case histories demonstrating FTG’s versatility for finding new plays.
