Bell Geospace Provides Full Tensor Gravity Gradiometry Coverage for Five Blocks in PETRONAS Malaysia Bid Round 2025

Feb 17, 2025 – Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Bell Geospace is pleased to announce the availability of high-resolution Full Tensor Gravity Gradiometry (FTG) and Magnetic data across five exploration blocks featured in the PETRONAS Malaysia Bid Round 2025 (MBR 2025). The blocks with full FTG coverage include PM509, PM507, PM433, PM444, and SB505.

These datasets offer unparalleled insights into basin architecture, structural complexity, and potential new play opportunities, aiding exploration companies in making informed decisions. Bell Geospace's advanced Full Tensor Migration (FTM) technology enhances subsurface imaging by providing:

  • Advanced 3D depth filtering for clearer geological signal separation.
  • Automated unconstrained inversion for high-resolution subsurface models.
  • Density field migration converting gravity data into actionable depth-domain insights.
  • Subsurface depth sensitivity mapping to better understand geological structures.

The comprehensive FTG and Magnetic dataset covers all key basins in Malaysia, supporting both regional and block-scale exploration. With high-resolution acquisition at 2km line spacing and targeted infill to 1km, the data resolves top basement structures and intra-basin complexities.

Bell Geospace's multi-client FTG dataset is designed to accurately define structural boundaries, map fine-scale geological fabric, and detect features such as carbonates, basinal troughs, channels, inversion structures, fault networks, and closures.

Comprehensive geological maps are ready to integrate with complementary datasets, and bespoke training courses and workshops are available upon request.
