SEAN WALKER JOINS THE MINERAL PROSPECTIVITY MAPPING PROJECT FOR BOTSWANA
January 2021
Bell Geospace is delighted to announce that Professional Geoscientist Sean Walker has joined Bell Geospace’s Botswana Mineral Prospectivity Mapping project. The project is set to automate the process for delineating areas based on their mineral potential and estimate the proportion of economically recoverable undiscovered resources.
Mr Walker brings over 20 years of experience in a variety of fields within applied geophysics including mineral exploration, airborne electromagnetics and the detection and discrimination of unexploded ordinance. He completed his BSc at McMaster with Dr. Bill Morris and his MSc at UBC with Dr. Doug Oldenburg. For the past 10 years has provided consulting services to a wide range of clients as a Senior Geophysicist with Campbell & Walker Geophysics.
Sean’s wealth of knowledge will be very valuable to this project. The first stage of his involvement includes inverting the Full Tensor Gravity Gradiometry (FTG) and magnetic data over the Molopo Farm area. He commented ''I am looking forward to adding value to the MPM project through the inversion of the FTG and magnetics data."
We will be showcasing a project update as part of the Bell Geospace virtual experience at PDAC.
Welcome aboard Sean!
